Hey girls,

Hope you guys are having a wonderful 4th of July! How was your weekend? Online Shopping, Pampering, catching up on TV shows — this was how my weekend went. Speaking of pampering, I want to tell you guys about the hair mask I have used this weekend. It made my hair smooth and reduced frizz, so I thought why not share it with my glitter community? Here is a picture of my hair after using the hair mask. This is how it looks once I shampooed and let it air dry, with no products on and no styling. (2)

Here goes the recipe! At the end of this post, I have included the links to where I have purchased all these products from.

I’d say this mask is like a god sent for my dry, frizzy hair. It tamed down my frizzies and gave an instant hydration boost to my moisture craving locks. This is a very nourishing hair mask and so people with Oily hair — better stay away from it or use in moderation.

You guys wanna know why I picked these ingredients for this recipe?? Here you go!

Shea Butter:

The name  ‘Mother Nature’s Conditioner’ is totally apt in case of Shea Butter. It absorbs easily into the hair to provide intense hydration and locks in the moisture. The anti-inflammatory properties in Shea Butter rejuvenate the hair follicles and aid in hair growth.

Tip: Choose Unrefined Shea butter so that your hair receives maximum benefits of Vitamin A, E, PhytoNutrients and fats.

Castor Oil:

Castor oil is rich in unsaturated Omega 9 fatty Acid called Ricinoleic acid. It nourishes the hair without clogging the pores and controls hair fall. It also promotes hair growth and thickness of the hair strands. It attracts moisture and helps your hair retain that moisture. It prevents breakage and improves the elasticity of the hair.

Tip: Castor oil is very sticky and thick. So it is always suggested to dilute it with other carrier oils. Otherwise, you might end up using too much shampoo in the shower. Too much shampoo is a NO-NO!!

Avocado Oil:

Filled with Vitamins A, B, D,E, amino acids, proteins, copper and magnesium, this super-fruit never stops to amaze me! Avocado oil instantly gets absorbed into the hair and gives a new life to dry, brittle hair by moisturizing them. Great for reducing frizz and dandruff. One of my favorite hair oils, I should say!!

Lemon Essential Oil:

Usually, lemon oil is suggested for people with normal to oily hair. But thing is, people with dry hair can also reap its benefits by mixing it with other moisture rich oils. In this hair mask, I have already added several nourishing oils and I felt that this is the perfect combo to bring in a few drops of lemon oil. Lemon oil makes your hair shiny and controls dandruff.

Shopping list:

Castor Oil
Avocado Oil
Lemon Essential Oil
Unrefined Shea Butter

I hope you guys will try this hair mask and I am sure you will fall in love with it. Do let me know your experiences in the comments. I love to hear from you guys. See you guys in my next post, until then, keep smiling 🙂 Bye, for now!

I am quite familiar with the hair combo except combining it with lemon. Lemon is also lightens the hair. I will try and see how my hair responds. Thanks
